Dear Colleagues,

I have an immediate opening for a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign to investigate colloidal aggregation and coagulation. This project will utilize multi-scale modeling, from molecular dynamics simulations to kinetic Monte Carlo models, and is part of a larger experimental collaboration with the group of Prof. Qian Chen. The position is funded by Dow Chemical Company and the initial appointment is for a year, starting as soon as possible on or after Jan 16, with a potential to be renewed for one or two additional years. The start date is flexible. The postdoc will work within a highly interactive and interdisciplinary team. A PhD in chemical engineering, material science, physics or related field is required. Knowledge of statistical mechanics and molecular/mesoscale modeling is strongly preferred.

Please feel free to forward to any students or postdocs who might be interested, as well as colleagues who might know potential candidates. Interested candidates are invited to send a CV and a cover letter to statt@illinois.edu.
