Applications are invited to fill an immediate postdoctoral research position at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) in Cleveland, USA, in the areas of physics-informed machine learning, artificial intelligence, and molecular and mesoscale modeling of particulate systems. The project aims at developing multiscale simulations of multiphase polymer-based blends and nanocomposites and candidates are sought with good knowledge in one or more of the areas above. Knowledge of machine learning/artificial intelligence and molecular/mesoscale modeling is preferred.
The initial appointment is for a year, starting as soon as possible on or after October 1, with a potential to be renewed for one additional year. The project is funded through DOE and the DOE, and the postdoc will be supervised by Professor João Maia, and will closely collaborate with teams at CWRU, Lawrence Livermore National Lab, and Sandia National Labs. Candidates are invited to send a CV and a cover letter by September 15 to joao.maia@case.edu.
